Past Tense Continuous

Past Continuous Tense se formează după următoarele modele:

Afirmativ: S + was/were + V-ing
Negativ: S + was/were not + V-ing
Interogativ: Was/Were + S + V-ing

Utilizare:
- acţiuni aflate în derulare într-o perioadă din trecut
ex. Mary was reading a book when Peter entered the room. (acţiune în desfăşurare în trecut în raport cu o alta, de scurtă durată)
While Jim was watching TV, his wife was cooking. (acţiuni paralele în trecut)
